Building and maintaining one of Orange County’s most established marketing communications agencies takes tenacity, commitment and leadership. Kim originally founded Echo Media Group to provide superior public relations service. Today, her 25 year old agency has evolved into a full-service marketing communications agency. Focused on delivering intelligent and measurable campaigns, Echo invests in and leverages data and analytics to plan and validate each campaign’s success and prove ROI. Throughout her 30 year career, Kim has demonstrated a talent for creating winning relationships in her agency, for her clients and among her broad network. She has a proven talent for identifying opportunities that propel a company forward. Driven by her passion for giving back, Kim and her team dedicate hundreds of hours annually to serve some of Orange County’s most notable non-profits including OneOC, Someone Cares Soup Kitchen and Rotary. She is an executive board member of the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce and chair of the marketing and communications committee. Kim graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, an emphasis in public relations and a minor in English.
Industry veteran Nancy Andrews has more than 30 years experience in designing and executing strategic communications campaigns for her clients. She has planned for and directed PR, social media, digital marketing, public affairs and marketing communications campaigns for a wide variety of local, national and international clients. She has spent her career working helping her clients reach their communications goals while working in agencies and corporate environments from Irvine, Calif. to Washington DC to Sacramento, Calif., and as a PR consultant prior to joining Echo Media Group. On behalf of her many clients, including Unocal’s 76 Products Company, Beer Drinkers of America (an Anheuser Busch, Miller Beer advocacy group), Party Smart®, Econo Lube N’ Tune, Villeroy & Boch, Bertazzoni, Great Park Neighborhoods, Jacuzzi, Concordia University Irvine, NovaWurks, Printronix and Las Vegas Monorail. Nancy is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. She has multiple awards for her campaigns from the Public Relations Society of America, MarComm, DotComm and the International Association of Business Communicators.
Lisa has been practicing public relations for more than 20 years and brings both corporate and big-agency experience to Echo. As a PR manager and corporate spokesperson for Michelin North America, Lisa learned very quickly to be comfortable in front of the camera or pitching big ideas to the CEO. She brings a unique mix of strategic thinking, passionate writing and marketing-communications expertise to Echo. With years of experience developing unique, integrated marketing communications campaigns for companies like Mazda, BFGoodrich Tires and Kyocera, Lisa ensures her clients are maximizing their budgets and generating results with compelling ideas that resonate with their audiences. She voraciously pursues the integration of public relations, marketing and social media to broaden the impact of our clients’ messages. Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University where she majored in communications. While at JCU, she was captain of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team and a two-time Ohio Athletic Conference Three-Meter Diving Champion.
Vivian exhibits a unique talent for understanding the core issues of importance to clients and creates marketing communications campaigns that spark the interest of designated audiences. She plays a key role in effectively developing overall communication strategies that integrate public relations, social media and search marketing initiatives. Vivian works with a wide variety of B2B and B2C clients from industries including aerospace, home building, luxury kitchen and bath, legal, higher education, food, material handling and many more. Some of the clients she has worked with through the years include UC Irvine Division of Continuing Education, FivePoint, Great Park Neighborhoods, Villeroy & Boch, Jacuzzi, Kyocera Mobile, Chuao Chocolatiers, Toyota Material Handling and Wahoo’s Fish Taco.
Vivian earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and social behavior with an emphasis in management from the University of California, Irvine. She also earned an MBA in marketing from the University of La Verne. Vivian has won multiple PROTOS, MarCom and dotCOMM awards for her work.
As vice president of search and social media at Echo, Gabe is responsible for successfully implementing and deploying all paid and organic campaigns for agency clients. He has worked in the industry for more than 15 years helping clients increase website traffic, leads and ROI, using effective tactics including Organic SEO, Local SEO, Link Building, Online Reputation Management, Pay-Per-Click, Social Media Marketing and Display Advertising. Gabe has worked with both B2C and B2B clients, including Great Park Neighborhoods, FivePoint, UC Irvine’s Division of Continuing Education, Baldwin® Hardware, Sketchers®, Del Real Foods, Rescue One Financial, JPL throughout his career.
Gabe graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Communications and enjoys bird watching and cliff diving (at the same time).
Hanna is responsible for all things financial and human resources-related at Echo Media Group. As the company’s director of finance, she oversees all bookkeeping, the management of all accounts receivable and payable, the preparation of internal financial statements as well as month-end and year-end closings. She also acts as the main point of contact with the agency’s CPAs. In addition, she leads the agency in human resources management where she manages all payroll activities, compliance issues and employment matters. With more than 20 years of experience, Hanna brings her expertise to Echo following stints at Verifone (a division of Hewlett Packard), eMachines/Gateway, Inc., Karbz, Inc. (dba SSC Racing) and Spencer Food Services, Inc. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
As the Vice President of Design and Development, Walter plays a critical role in creating, managing and designing websites, microsites and landing pages for agency clients. He also interacts with the creative team at Echo directing and overseeing multiple design projects. Prior to joining Echo, Walter was the Founder/Creative Director for Fermata Creative, Inc. He provided leadership and creative direction for projects including branding, graphic design, print advertisements, tradeshow exhibits, photography, website design and multi-media projects. Walter has worked as the lead on creative teams and demonstrated design capabilities for high-profile clients such as KIA Motors, Hyundai Capitol, Behr Paints, 3M Worldwide, Windows Mobile and various city and real estate projects. Walter has a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from California State University, Fullerton, where he graduated with Dean’s List recognition in 2001. Walter also holds awards from the American Advertising Federation and printed publications for artistic design and most readership. He enjoys playing the drums and spending time with his wife and two sons.
As a Social Media and SEO Specialist, Valerie is well-versed in both digital marketing and public relations. She loves exploring the integration of the two realms to leverage a client’s goals through content creation, digital marketing and social media campaigns. Valerie supports Echo’s search and social department, executing dynamic campaigns across all major platforms. With nearly two years of experience, she has worked across multiple industry segments, including healthcare, higher education, real estate, non-profit organizations and consumer products. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Valerie has a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and minor degrees in French and Entrepreneurship. When she isn’t diving into the analytics, she enjoys taking trips to museums or the next travel destination.
